At ZenDojo, we strive to provide the highest quality training experience for all of our students. All of our programs are designed in the spirit of kaizen (eliminating excess, improving productivity, and continual improvement). While most of our students are interested in a combination of functional, life protection skills, physical fitness, personal development, and historical / cultural recreation, some are more drawn to specific aspects of training, such as striking, grappling, or weaponry. Students range from seasoned veterans to absolute beginners, and training outcomes are tailored to the needs of individual learners. Every student plays an important role in the growth of their "juku" mates, so we take great care to ensure that new members are a good fit by offering a two week free trial period.
KU Juku
Our comprehensive program integrates life-protection practices and strategies with personal empowerment, physical fitness, and more.
AKJJ
Short for Aiki Kenpo Jujutsu, this program is focused on striking, trapping, throwing, grappling, and submissions.
Yamane Ryu
This system of weaponry is noted for its fluid footwork and body dynamics - a perfect compliment to KU!
